Syncplay
Audio description synchronised to a film or performance by sound, on the viewer’s phone. We prepared the LIAA innovation voucher package and then built the product.
Task
Synchronise audio description with a film or a theatre performance automatically, by sound, on the viewer’s own phone. [Research question and evaluation criteria from the feasibility study — agree the public part with Syncmer.]
What ZENITH did
- Voucher package: feasibility study, technical specification, defence presentation in RU and LV.
- Audio fingerprinting: improved audfprint, fixed timestamp overflow on long recordings.
- Recognition server: FastAPI worker that finds the position in the recording.
- Accessible mobile app: Flutter with full VoiceOver and TalkBack support.
